Rayman Legends Still Looks Fun

Rayman Legends

Nintendo Wii U owners are still smarting over Ubisoft's decision to port the once-exclusive Rayman Legends to other platforms and delay the release until later this year, but a pair of trailers unveiled at Ubisoft's E3 media briefing today show that the game still looks like fun and is packed with charm.  Take a look and watch Rayman and his friends in action across a variety of wacky worlds and crazy environments.  I really wanted to like the previous game in the series, Rayman Origins, but I just couldn't find its sweet spot.  It just didn't sit right with me and became more of a frustration than anything else.  I could see what it wanted to accomplish and it's a visual treat, but Origins and I couldn't find common ground.  I still intend to try Legends because I believe there's something in there that I'll like and my hope is that whatever it was about Origins that didn't work for me, Legends will remedy.  If nothing else, it looks amazing (but recent Rayman games have always shined in trailer form).  Watch for it on the Wii U, Sony PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and Microsoft Xbox 360 on September 3, 2013.
