New Super Mario Bros. 2 Coin Rush DLC Detailed

MarioNintendo announced some time ago that it was getting into the paid downloadable content game with New Super Mario Bros. 2 for the Nintendo 3DS by offering new Coin Rush level packs, and now the company has detailed its plans for the upcoming DLC.  Three packs are due to release in North America this Thursday, October 4 for $2.50 per pack (it's already available in other regions for comparable prices).  Each pack has a unique focus.  For instance, Gold Rush Pack is designed for scoring massive amounts of coins, while Coin Challenge A Pack is linked up with worldwide leaderboards.  Nerve-Wrack Pack is for seasoned pros only.  Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aime explains what to expect in the new DLC and how to buy it in a Nintendo Direct Mini presentation.

This is what I expected from Coin Rush DLC and the price is about right (I was expecting $3 but was hoping for $2).  I can see myself buying into these as it turns out that I really do enjoy the Coin Rush mode and play it more than the main single-player mode now that I've finished the main game.  It's great for bite-sized replayability just before falling asleep at night.  I've already hit the 30,000 coin cap thanks to the World 3-4 trick, but I'll gladly take some new levels to explore in my ongoing journey to the 1,000,000 coin mark.
