Yesterday I questioned why Nintendo and Warner Bros. are banging the Batman: Arkham City drum so hard when it comes to porting a game to the Wii U that will be at least a year old by the time it reaches store shelves. My friend and colleague David Oxford has put together a compelling rebuttal over at Poison Mushroom that counters my arguments with worthwhile points that has me rethinking my position on the matter. Perhaps there is room in this world for a trumped up Wii U version of Arkham City, although it's best aimed at those who actually have not yet played the game (and I question what those folks are waiting for at this point, but now the answer to that can be "The Wii U version"). So, there you have it then: Batman: Arkham City for the Wii U is best for some, but probably not for others. No matter what though, it's imperative that everyone play at least one version of it. It really is a fantastic game.
