Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 Revealed

Sadly, I just wasn't compelled by Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.  Everything about it should have worked for me (Gritty style!  God of War gameplay!  Patrick Stewart!), but it frustrated me more than it entertained me thanks to its sudden sharp increase in difficulty.  I keep telling myself that I need to try it again, but in the meantime I'm intrigued by the announcement trailer for the game's upcoming sequel, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 for the Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360, in which protagonist Gabriel Belmont embraces his new existence and lays waste to a horde of attacking knights.  I still want to like this series, so I'm interested in the sequel, but it'll be a rental for me at this point.  I wonder if my block with the game is that its greatest sin is that it isn't classic or familiar Castlevania.  It's something new, and new is nice (how often do we demand something new in his industry rather than cookie cutter sequels?), but I just can't make it click for me.  Still, the sequel makes for an impressive trailer.
