The Redcoats Are Dying In New Assassin's Creed III Trailer

Ubisoft's marketing schedule will not be defied as despite last week's leaks of Assassin's Creed III imagery revealing the American Revolution setting and new star protagonist, the game's trailer just debuted today as if this were all new information.  But I digress... Take a look at the first Assassin's Creed III trailer to see what all of this colonial stuff is about as the new assassin, Ratohnhaké:ton, stalks British soldiers in the Mohawk Valley as General Washington and his troops rally nearby.  I don't really remember the Assassin/Templar conflict from my history classes back in school, but Ubisoft's version of history seems more interesting.  Just as the Assassin's Creed II series taught many people about European history during the Renaissance (give or take a little fiction), perhaps this next sequel can educate players about the broad strokes of the late eighteenth century in the burgeoning United States.  It will also be refreshing to take part in a video game war that doesn't involve the Axis and the Allies for a change.  Assassin's Creed III arrives on October 30, 2012 in North America (October 31 in Europe) for the Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, and PC.  A Nintendo Wii U version is also expected.
