Power Button - Episode 62: Nintendo's 3DS Strategy Is Crazy Like A Star Fox

Power ButtonNintendo has a knack for surprising the gaming community, and this week's media briefing prior to (but not part of) the Tokyo Game Show was no exception as the company showed off the new Slide Pad Expansion add-on for the Nintendo 3DS and revealed several new games.  This week on Power Button, Brad Hilderbrand, Joey Davidson, and I discuss whether or not the secondary slide pad is a good thing or not and if Nintendo needs to capitulate to stockholder demands to begin smartphone gaming development.  Then we dive into the well of upcoming releases.  We can't wait to get our hands on Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7 has a lot going for it (such as Lakitu!), The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword could go either way, The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition is met with mixed thoughts, and Mario Tennis for the 3DS looks very familiar.  Then, after a break, we launch into a discussion regarding the recently released Star Fox 64 3D and debate whether or not this remastered edition of 1997's top fox-related space shooter is worth the investment.  Seriously, it's a debate.  Voices are raised and everything.  Download this week's episode directly from PTB, listen with the player below, or subscribe via iTunes, and be sure to catch up on past episodes if you're joining us late.
