Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda franchise reached new heights in the late 1990s with Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 64. NBC's Seinfeld went out on top at the same time. What happens if the two media juggernauts are combined? Over on YouTube, SynaMaxMusic has posted this mash-up of the Lost Woods theme from Ocarina composed with the familar slap bass and popping elements used in the theme from Seinfeld. Strangely enough, it works. If you're more of a first-person shooter fan, consider this reworking of the Seinfeld theme using elements from Rare's GoldenEye 007 that's also oddly compelling. Who knew that these famous properties could mesh so easily? There's plenty more where these came from including Tim Allen's Home Improvement grunts mixed into Super Mario Land music and the Corneria theme from Star Fox 64 recreated with the aforementioned GoldenEye samples. What's next? Castlevania tones turned into the theme from Perfect Strangers? Actually, I think I'd like to hear that one.
