Have you ever taken a really close look at the box artwork for Nintendo's original Super Mario Bros.for the Nintendo Entertainment System?  The spritely image of Mario in mid-leap is a familiar picture, but have you ever noticed what's happening in the periphery?  As pointed out on Reddit, it looks like this scene of Mario in action actually occurs just a split-second before everyone's favorite plumber falls into a lava pit.  And here you thought that the revelation that the Mushroom Kingdom's bushes are just recolored clouds was the only mind-blowing discovery that the game had to offer after all these years!
