As co-host Joey Davidson takes a few weeks off from the show for paternity leave, it's up to Brad Hilderbrand and I to hold down the fort at Power Button, and on this week's episode we discuss our recent revisitations of Hyrule and Koholint as both The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening make appearances on the Nintendo 3DS. I've been enjoying the comparatively simpler, faster paced experience of the latter, while Brad has focused on the former. Somewhere along the way we give shout outs to other memorable Zelda titles that are fondly remembered including Majora's Mask, Oracle of Ages, Oracle of Seasons, and A Link to the Past along with wondering whether the upcoming Wii title, Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, can break out of the rut that the Zelda franchise has fallen into over the past decade. Can the series ever break out of the stale Ocarina formula? Is riding a giant bird really the solution? There are no easy answers. Fifty minutes of conversation await you.
