Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog entered this world as a short, pudgy little guy with lots of speed and just a little sass. When the character was redesigned for Sonic Adventure in 1998, he gained a little height, dropped the weight, and started down the road that would see him star in dud adventure after dud adventure. Sega has been trying to set things right lately by reworking Sonic back into a top tier character (with mixed results), but perhaps this newly announced Sonic the Hedgehog title for the Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 is headed in the right direction. The original classic Sonic character model is back in action alongside his green-eyed lanky successor to celebrate the franchise's twentieth anniversary as seen in this teaser trailer. Whether or not the company remembers what makes Sonic so much fun is up for grabs, but at least this time the developers are starting in the right place.
