Power Button - Episode 27: First Singing, Then Stringing
November 10, 2010
We consider ourselves to be culturally aware here on Power Button, and all of us on the show have interests beyond just video games. For instance, we like music, too. That's why for this week's episode we dig deep into this season's big musical video game, Rock Band 3, and hit on what we like, what we love, and what just isn't harmonizing for us. I brag a bit about my leaderboard achievements (I was #2 on the Chicago "25 or 6 to 4" scoreboard for vocals for a while and pretty high up on the Foreigner "Cold As Ice" list, too), while Joey Davidson and Brad Hilderbrand compare the title to the previous Rock Band editions. We also comment on that piano controller that's taking the Rock Band fan world by storm. Moving on from that, God of War: Ghost of Sparta snags some of our attention before we dip into a discussion on Kirby's Epic Yarn and how the seemingly simple difficulty actually opens up to something more rewarding if played with the right frame of mind.
