The Music Of Super Metroid For Sega Genesis

Super Metroid for Sega GenesisOh dear, I think we've accidentally crossed over to an alternate reality again because how else can you explain the existence of this version of Nintendo's classic Super Metroid for the Sega Genesis?  I wonder how well the game plays with only three buttons?  Naturally, the more mundane and realistic explanation is that Geckoyamori has been rearranging the Super Metroid soundtrack to sound like a Genesis title.  Considering that the Super NES and Genesis each contain very different sound hardware, it's interesting to hear what happens when music for one console is transplanted to another.  Check out this nine-minute medley of several of Super Metroid's tracks and hear the different for yourself.  Up next: condensing the game's visuals to a mere sixty-four colors onscreen at a time.
