Today's bit of fun with arranged video game music involves everyone's favorite Nintendo 64 adventure featuring an ocarina (but not a falling moon), The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. This arrangement of the battle theme from MOKA's 1999 The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Re-Arranged Album runs heavy on the percussion and frantic pace of the original in-game tune, but adds a rhythmic mellowness that may sound monotonous at first, but provides a nice lead-in to an organ and flute duet about midway through the song (with just a touch of guitar). It's catchy, it's fun, and it's creative. Sounds like a great combination to me.
