Well, that was quick! Production on a sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum must have started before work on the original game ended, because there's a teaser trailer that announces the game making the rounds from the Spike TV 2009 Video Game Awards. Featuring more chaos, more Joker, and a little Harley Quinn, the underlying theme of the teaser wants to drill a simple three-word concept into your brain: Arkham Has Moved.
No word on when the game will be released, but in addition to the trailer there's already a basic website for the game, ArkhamHasMoved.com, so I hope it's not being rushed. Here's hoping that the new game lives up to its predecessor and that developer Rocksteady doesn't take the easy lazy way out after creating such a Batppropriate adventure. Just make sure that the stellar voice cast returns for the sequel, Rocksteady. Part of what made the original Arkham Asylum so enjoyable were the performances of Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill along with the rest of the familiar cast. "Over? Why, my dear delusional dark knight... it hasn't even begun!"
