The Delivery Of Link

Link Back in December 2006 statue and figurine company First 4 Figures announced a statue of Nintendo's heroic Link as seen in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.  I eagerly preordered a Link statue and then proceeded to wait for the company to manufacture and ship my order to me.  So I waited.  And waited.  And waited.  For three years.  My patience has finally paid off though, as Link finally arrived at my door this afternoon (#22 of 2,500!), and I have the freshly-taken photos to prove it.

Note the details on the Master Sword, particularly the Triforce.

The shield sports similar symbols.  It's a fantastic match for its in-game counterpart.

The map even has little fine details.  I can't match it to an in-game dungeon at a glance though.

So, in the end, do I think Link is worth the three years and $110 I spent on him?  He's a nice display piece and I'm glad that I bought him, but unless First 4 Figures can speed up the production process, I doubt I'll make any additional purchases in the future.  I mean, this is a nice statue, but Nintendo has created entire Legend of Zelda games in the time it took to create this display piece.
