Ghostbusters fans everywhere who are ready and waiting to play the new video game will have to dig deep into their wallets if they plan to pick up the newly revealed special edition collector set.  The Slimer Edition is available for the Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii versions of Ghostbusters: The Video Game and includes the following:

• An exclusive Slimer bust designed and created by the original movie sculptor, Steve Johnson. Comes complete with a certificate of authenticity signed by the sculptor himself.
• Exclusive Ghostbusters Minimates. Only be available with the Slimer Edition.
• Exclusive Ghostbusters Gamer Graffix Console Skins.
• Exclusive Ecto 1 Key Chain with lights and sound.

The Slimer Edition can be yours for a mere $129.99 ($109.99 for the Wii version).  That's very steep for a keychain and some stickers.  I like the Slimer figurine, but he'd have to be large enough to display properly if I'm going to pay such a large premium.  Personally, I was hoping for a special edition package that includes the two Ghostbusters films on Blu-ray, but take note that the Slimer Edition is apparently exclusive to Amazon.com, so perhaps other retailers will offer more attractive editions in the weeks ahead.
