Dan Aykroyd Can't Stop Playing Ghostbusters: The Video Game

Ghostbusters: The Video GameMore news from the world of Gozer as one of my Kombo Breaker podcast co-workers, Joey Davidson, has spent some hands-on time with the upcoming Ghostbusters: The Video Game and has filed a report for Kombo from this weekend's New York Comic Con.  He tells us all about how the proton pack and trapping mechanics perform and describes the level of detail on display in the game in this unique hands-on preview.  That's all well and good, but does the game really live up to the Ghostbusters spirit?  Would the creative talent behind the original films come away impressed with the experience?.

I'll leave you with this… Ghostbusters: The Video Game is looking incredible. It's the game for which we, as fans, have been waiting. Dan Aykroyd, who has been involved the whole way through, played an old version of the game and wasn't all that impressed. He played something close to the version we got at the con and simply couldn't put it down. Now that's an incredible sign.

If it's good enough for Dan Aykroyd, I think it'll be good enough for the rest of us.  There are still a few rough spots that need a little smoothing, but I remain highly optimistic about the end result.
