Project H.A.M.M.E.R. Resurfaces
May 01, 2007
Nintendo has confirmed a list of games scheduled to be released in Japan through the rest of the year and I was glad to see that the Wii title Project H.A.M.M.E.R. was on that list. I don't think we've heard much of anything about this game since it was announced at E3 last year. No new screenshots, no developer interviews, not even a blurb updating us on the game's progress. I mainly wanted to mention it again now in order to push my preferred acronym for H.A.M.M.E.R. back into the foreground. As you'll recall, when I spoke with a Nintendo rep at E3 last year I was told that "H.A.M.M.E.R." was written as an acronym because it looked more impressive than just "Hammer" and that they probably wouldn't come up with a meaning for it. Once again I'd like to suggest Human Assisted Mallet Mechanical Emergency Response. I think there's still time for the development team to work that in somewhere.
