My favorite musicians include such talented folks as Elton John, Huey Lewis (and the News), Eric Clapton, and Phil Collins, but my all-time favorite artist has to be Billy Joel. I've been a fan ever since my parents gave me the cassette of the An Innocent Man album at the age of four. Early exposure to his work is what led me to ask for piano lessons at a young age, and today all these years later it's not unusual to find me playing music from the Billy Joel catalog at my own piano.
Although it's not something I mention often, I'd love to see Joel take a crack at writing the score for a video game, thereby combining two of my favorite entertainment outlets. Unfortunately, my inner cynic tells me that the closest I'll ever get to such a thing is this parody video set against the piano man's infamous drunk driving escapades. As the man says, "Dream on, but don't imagine they'll all come true..."
