When alien robots threaten the planet it's up to a big guy in the process of transforming into a cyborg to grab a massive mallet and start swinging.  Project H.A.M.M.E.R. is one of Nintendo's long-promised new franchises for the Wii and so far it's looking impressive.  See for yourself in this exclusive video.  Be sure to notice how after the hammer is pounded against the ground the brick road becomes smashed and the concrete sidewalks develop cracks.  Many things in the demo are smashable or otherwise damageable.  You'd be surprised how much fun it can be to swing a large hammer and bash large robots.
