It looks like Nintendo's downloadable Coin Rush levels for New Super Mario Bros. 2 aren't so popular. I paid the total of $7.50 for the three level packs and enjoyed them while they lasted (which, by design, wasn't long), but after replaying them a few times and feeling that I'd seen everything they had to offer, I'd had my fill of them. I have no regrets, mind you, but I'm not so sure that I'll buy the other upcoming add-on levels (unless, of course, there's a nostalgia pack; I would be all over that as much as I hate to admit that I would pay for reruns over new material).
Speaking of nostalgia, Capcom has announced that it's bringing two of its Darkstalkers arcade brawler games featuring characters based on famous horror-themed archetypes (vampire, werewolf, succubus, etc.) back to the Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 in the same manner that it's revived a number of its classic fighting games over the past few years: high definition filters, online multiplayer, $14.99 price tag, etc. It's a familiar package even before I mention that it includes Night Warriors: Darkstalkers Revenge and Darkstalkers 3. Rumor has it that Capcom is watching sales of the upcoming release to see if there's any interest in a proposed Darkstalkers 4. Have you been waiting years for another Darkstalkers game? Or is that franchise better left buried in the graveyard? Let's hear your thoughts.
