Club Nintendo seems to be upping its game lately when it comes to offering interesting and worthwhile items in its prize catalog. First there was the coveted gold-painted nunchuk accessory for the Wii and now we have the limited edition Kirby medal to commemorate the pink puffball's twentieth anniversary as part of the build-up to the release of the Kirby's Dream Collection compilation of classic Kirby games later this month. The loyalty program is only offering 1,000 of these gold-colored plated medals at 600 coins each, so you'd better act right this moment if you want to get one and the neat little box that holds it in place before they all sell out. Nope, check that; there are only 999 left because I just ordered one for myself. What can I say? I'm an easy mark for interesting displayable Nintendo collectibles. I knew that hoarding Club Nintendo coins would pay off eventually.
