Capcom has made a nice business of updating its classic library of fighting games for release on Microsoft Xbox Live and Sony PlayStation Network, and now the company that brought us revamped takes on Street Fighter III and Marvel vs Capcom 2 is going back to that well for revised versions of Marvel Super Heroes and the original Marvel vs Capcom in a downloadable package that it's calling Marvel vs Capcom Origins. Due out in September for $14.99 / 1200 MSP, you'll find that these titles have been enhanced with Achievements/Trophies, online play, spectator mode, and unlockable artwork from the Capcom vault. Check out this announcement trailer to see both halves of the compiled whole in action:
It sounds like a great deal and I'm sorely tempted to indulge, but I'm already inundated with Capcom fighting games, so I don't know if I can justify buying another one/two. Just this gaming generation alone I've already bought Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Street Fighter III: Online Edition, Street Fighter IV, Super Street Fighter IV (and the Arcade Edition downloadable expansion), Marvel vs Capcom 2, Marvel vs Capcom 3, and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. I think I may be all Ryued out.
