Burnout Paradise And Its DLC Are Exceptionally Cheap Now

Burnout ParadiseIf you somehow missed out on the best open world racing game for the Sony PlayStation 3, then here's your chance to rectify your error and save a lot of money in the process.  Burnout Paradise from Electronic Arts and Criterion Games has been available as a downloadable title from the PlayStation Store for a while now, but this week it's heavily discounted and priced to move along with all of the game's expansive downloadable content.  Here's the revised price sheet from the PlayStation Blog:

Take off into the world of Paradise City at ludicrous speed. This bundle contains the full digital version of Burnout Paradise with all cars and bikes unlocked so that you can jump right into your favorite ride. The bundle also includes the Boost Specials cars, the Hawker Mech and Carson Extreme Hot Rod, so you’ll be leading the pack in no time!
File size: 3.45 GB

Burnout Paradise – Full Game Plus Bundle ($7.99)
Burnout Paradise Party Pack – Sale (now $1.99, original price $4.99)
Burnout Paradise Toy Car Collection – Sale (now $1.99, original price $6.99)
Burnout Paradise: Big Surf Island – Sale (now $2.99, original price $6.99)
Burnout Paradise: Cops And Robbers – Sale (now $1.99, original price $4.99)
Burnout Paradise: Legendary Car Pack – Sale (now $1.99, original price $4.99)
Burnout Paradise: Boost Specials Car Pack – Sale (now $1.99, original price $4.99)
Burnout Paradise: Time Savers Pack – Sale (now $1.99, original price $4.99)

I really can't recommend Burnout Paradise enough (particularly at these prices).  If nothing else, pick up the Big Surf Island expansion along with the Legendary Cars to go with the core game.  Be sure to notice that this version of the core game essentially includes the Boost Specials pack and the Time Savers pack, so don't double-dip when it's not necessary.  I've written a lot about this iteration of Burnout over the years, so if you're new to Paradise City, be sure to read up on how to improve your experience with awesome music and explore some of the DLC that didn't make it out of the garage.  I missed out on the Cops And Robbers expansion back when it was new (the review voucher supplied by the publisher was invalid and EA never bothered to answer requests for a working one), so I'll be revisiting the game in the days and weeks ahead for that if any of you want to race.  See you in Paradise!
