Most of you out there do not own Sony PlayStation 3 consoles, so the grand ApocalyPS3 of 2010 / 1999 didn't matter to you one way or the other, but I'm sad to see that of those of us who do own the ubiquitous console, the majority were impacted by the global technical issue. I'm fortunate enough to have escaped unscathed, but I feel for everyone who lost data after the events of February 29, 2010. We'll be talking more about the ApocalyPS3 fallout on this week's episode of Power Button, so stay tuned for that.
The other major news story of last week is the big Activision vs Infinity Ward's founders and former employees, Jason West and Vince Zampella, battle for the rights and soul of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. While we won't have all of the answers and information in the matter until/unless the fight goes to court, what we do know at this time is summarized nicely in last week's recap of events. Which side in the fight do you believe is in the right? Goliath publisher Activision or creative developers West and Zampella? Let's hear your thoughts. It's also worth noting that the second topic on this week's Power Button is this very legal fight, so stick around for that discussion as well.
