Remember publisher Sunsoft? Sure you do! Back in the 8-bit and 16-bit era, the company brought us such gaming classics as Blaster Master, Uncle Fester's Quest, Aero the Acro-bat, and Aero the Acro-bat 2. Sunsoft set in the west years ago and withdrew to be an entirely Japanese operation, but now the company is returning to operate in North America. Moreover, the revived company's first order of business is to bring the original Nintendo Entertainment System version of Blaster Master to the Wii's Virtual Console later this month. This is great news, but I'd prefer to look into the future and hope that an Aero the Acro-bat revival is just around the corner. I may be the only person who would champion such a cause, but Aero was a fun character and stared in two worthwhile adventures back in the day. Let's see both games on the Virtual Console to ensnare a new generation of fans, and then onward to an all-new Aero the Acro-bat 3 for WiiWare. Start small and work up to the big leagues. Stop laughing! Stranger things have happened.
