Sega Announces New 2D High Definition Sonic the Hedgehog Adventure

Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice, shame on me.  Fool me three times... After trudging through the nighttime werehog levels of Sonic Unleashed I vowed not to let optimism and excitement run away with me whenever Sega announces that they're going to do Sonic the Hedgehog properly, so now that the company has revealed a new Sonicgame that is not only in 2D, but also high definition, I find myself remaining cool.  Check out the teaser trailer that at least uses the correct sound effects and "Say-gah!" choir chant.

I want to believe.  I really do.  However, I've been burned too often this generation to blindly give in to the hype.  I'm going to need to see some screenshots of actual gameplay before I let the anticipation take hold.
