We do love our teasing in the video game industry, and fan favorite developer and publisher Capcom is carrying on with the tradition of hinting at amazing things yet to come. The company has posted a blurb at Twitter to reveal that they are working on something that is a sequel to something else and that we'll find out more about it by someone at some time. Hype train now boarding on track one, and we're serving free media exposure in the dining car!
In five, we're having a meeting to discuss a new game sequel that will BLOW YOUR MIND when you find out about it... much, much later.
Kombo's David Oxford offers up a few ideas/hopes as to what this secret project may be, running the list of popular Capcom properties such as Street Fighter, Bionic Commando, Final Fight, Strider, Devil May Cry, and even Darkstalkers (while also floating the highly unlikely possibilities involving Darkwing Duck and other Disney titles), but of course Mega Man pegs the list with the hypothetical Mega Man 10, Mega Man X9, Mega Man Legends 3, and other flavors of blue bomber. My own personal Capcom sequel wish list item is, of course, Mega Man 2: Powered Up. Now all we have to do is sit back and wait for Capcom to share the news. Much, much later, of course.
