With all the fantastic Super Smash Bros. Brawl news that has been revealed lately it was only natural that the other shoe should drop. The release of the wildly anticipated Nintendo Wii game has been bumped to February 2008 (in North America, at least). As much as I want to play the game, I can keep myself occupied with other things until then. However, now there can be no excuses; this game must be absolutely perfect when it reaches stores next year.
At the Nintendo media summit in San Francisco this morning, Nintendo’s outgoing Senior V.P. of Marketing George Harrison confirmed that Super Smash Brothers Brawl for the Wii will be delayed “a few weeks” beyond its initial December 3rd date. The game is now set for release on Sunday February 10th.
I find myself wondering if yesterday's announcement of Sonic the Hedgehog's presence in the game was timed to help take the sting out of the delay. Either way, let us hope that this is the last footwear to fall.
