Weekly Poll: WiiWare Wants

Weekly Poll for 6-25-2007 I'm one week into the HDTV experience, but I have yet to actually see any high definition content.  I don't have any gadgets or gizmos that put out the HD signal, you see.  The closest I've come is 480p on the Nintendo Wii.  F-Zero GX looks damn amazing now, but the real excitement comes later this week when the HD cable box is installed.  On the other hand, old fashioned Mega Man 2 looks phenomenal on the big screen.

As we found out last week, WiiWare is coming from Nintendo.  Exactly what kinds of games will be offered under the WiiWare banner is still a mystery, but I've made it clear that I want to see those lost scraps of Nintendo projects available on the service.  Other folks are more excited by the casual/Flash gaming possibilities.  Where do you fall on the debate?  Cast your vote and leave some comments.

I'd like to see arcade-style games. Not necessarily casual, but things like shmups.
Also, I'd like to see some point & click adventures find their way to WiiWare.

If you have Grand Turismo 4 for the PS2 try it out, it's in 1080i. But ya it's an old game and won't show the prettiness of what your TV is capable of showing. Also I found this web site: http://hdgames.net usefull after I bought my HDTV to see what games are in progressive scan and Widecreen. It's also helpful in trying to figure out what systems to buy a particular title on if they are Multi-platform.

Nation Geographic Channel in HD is amazing or sporting events (I dislike sports but it's really pretty in HD).

Although it would be nice to see some half complete, secret Metroid level, or a cancelled Mario project, I think new and innovative games, like some found on the PS3 network will do best on the Wii. Just as long as they are not too gimmiky for the motion-sensors sake.

Can we not have them all?
