It's always interesting to see how ardent gaming fans with some programming experience can basically turn one gaming machine into another through emulation, and the latest classic console to make a reappearance on modern hardware is the Nintendo 64. There's a new version of the Daedalus emulator for the Sony PlayStation Portable that apparently plays games such as Super Mario 64. All I can say is that it's about time. Do you have any idea how long I've waited to play Super Mario 64 on the go? To finally have this classic adventure playable on a portable game system is... hey, wait a minute... Joking aside, it fascinates me to see how new hardware can be tweaked and coaxed into playing old favorites from years gone by. I can't wait to see what console shows up next.
