Sega is getting in one last console retro collection before the age of the Virtual Console and its ilk make spending 800 Nintendo Points per classic game the preferred way of doing business among the publishers. There's nearly thirty of the best games Sega had to offer back in the day in Sega Genesis Collection for the Sony PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable, but like in every such collection, some games are better than others. While I'm planning to take a close look at the set sometime soon, I have played many of the included games already over the years. If you're on the fence about the collection and aren't willing to wait for the reviews, then remember that you can't go wrong with Ristar, Phantasy Star IV, Kid Chameleon, Comix Zone, the first two Sonic the Hedgehog adventures, and the two Vectorman titles found within. Some of these we've already seen in other places this generation, but on the whole this looks to be a disc worth checking out (especially if you're looking to buy 16-bit goodness in bulk for cheap without worrying about Points and free hard drive space and what-not).
