Following up on my previous comments about camping out for a console, I stopped by Best Buy after work today and found approximately ten college-age people entrenched outside the store and waiting to buy - what else? - a Sony PlayStation 3. They were there for the long haul, too, with tents and folding chairs and signs bragging of their status in line and the other supplies required of an urban camper. While inside the store I overheard quite a few people talking about the campers outside, and the term "loser" was tossed around more often than I expected. And it was all ages slamming the campers, from twenty-somethings raiding the Family Guy DVD rack to the elderly couple in search of a washing machine. Good luck, campers! Especially after that cold front moves through tomorrow evening and drops the temperature down from a moderately toasty 80° F into the upper 40°s!
